I have a reactor encrusted with all sorts of stuff I'd like to remove. Since vinegar is out, what is the best and easiest method?

    Thanks.

for the outside_if its empty and not hooked up just take it and wash with hot water if it still hooked up with media wash cloth and hot water with some elbo greese.

the inside of the reactor_if full empty the media into a container wit some salt water in it and rinse everything out with hot water. If you have calcium build up you can soak it in a sink full of hot water and Limeaway or bleach it will make a world of diffrence. just keep in ming that the media might need to be shaken while this is going on. rinse with eo water and put back online.

I dont currently have a reactor but my skimmer is clear acrylic and needs cleaning soon. Just curious why cant vinegar be used. Also im always leary about using hot water. This wont affect seams and cause possible leaks.
