How do I get them to take Off

    ::)Hello, I Have a few soft corals,stars,frogspawn,zoos,mshrooms,what do i need to do to really get them going like spreading to cover my live rock , my water test are in check, Do I have to be really patient ,does it take like,many months.I have a 65G. With a fluval 405,a hang on back filter for up to 65G and a cpr bak pak skimmer,2 heater on each end of tank keeps temp in range. my tank isn't drilled No sump ..Do i need to get my tank drilled & get a sump? I have a maroon clown,2 clown gobies,slippery **** rasp,lemon peel angel,purple lobster,coralbanded shrimp,5 turbo snails 15or more hermit crab.emerald crab ,brown claw crab,1 red scooter blenny,brown scooter blenny.80 or more pounds of great rock with plenty featherduster all over .Do I need anything else for my tank ,any advice will help.I will post a pic soon................Thanks Alaine

    a sump isnt necessary its just nice to have to hide equipment in. i would watch your calc, magnesium and strontium for good coral growth.

    I forgot to mention my blue maximus clam & flower pot coral which I read is hard to keep and my clown loves to play in,and piss off

    I would be VERY leery of adding strontium(Sr) to tanks.... It has only been linked to negatives and only anecdotally linked to positives in a tank.
    Ca, Mg and alk are great to watch for stony corals and aren't as significant to softies.
    Water flow, lighting and nutrients are best for softie growth.

    yes it does sound like a cool tank. but i guess we will never know. never see it , too far to go to see it , hmmmm, how can this be rectified? anyone have any ideas? lol.

    never new that about strontium.
    edit: i check your info as any good aquarium keeper would, and its true there have never been real studies that support its sugnificance only a theory or too, even my expierences are anecdotal with it as i only used arm media which would release it with calcium. i still support keeping it with in normal sea levels tho. also my zoas and frogspawn took off with the addition of the calc reactor
