If it's a solitary clown and has been for a couple months it's probably a female.

If you have had a pair for any amount of time the larger one is the female. Coloration is more dependent on type or hybrid of the clown rather than sex of the clown.

Both males and female can be aggressive but in my experience the first one to initiate aggression towards new tank mates or the other clown, or you is the female.

Sometimes one clown will basically grab the other by the fin and do a body slam the aggressor is the female.

One clown will shake as a sign of submission more often that is often the male. Females do shimmy but not as frequently or with the same intensity.

Well i recently added a new O. Clown, to my tank which only had one other-bigger clown in it. So the clown i had before is most likely the female?

    Yes.

Your first clown is a female most likely and the new clown an immature male. If the new clown was a female you would be having issues with aggression.

Two females seldom tolerate each other.

    Sure no problem.

All clowns are sexually immature/juvenile males, the dominate one becomes the one and only female in the group. One of the juvenile males becomes the dominate male. Should the female die, the dominate male becomes the dominate female.

Males can become females, but VERY rarely can a female return to male, only a few documented cases if indeed true. It only works in one direction
