Your information is good but you didn't pay attention to what the OP was asking. if you read the posts you would know at the specific time he cannot set up a qt tank.

im not trying to argue with you, im just trying to help op and answer his specific questions, which alot of people are over looking when he said he cant set up a qt tank.

they were asking for any other means other than copper, or something that requires a qt tank. We weren't just saying random stuff that doesn't work in your opinion, the Op asked for any alternative means other than a qt tank.

 

The OP specifically asked what are the ways to get rid of ich in his tank. I believe Pickup is just pointing out that there are indeed only 3 answers to that question that are proven. There is no way to kill the parasite in the display while the fish is still in there. So, really, the answer to his question is "No, there is no way to get rid of Ich in your tank with the fish still in there", Pickup's answer is the only correct one and the others are unsubstantiated.

If a fish can live through a bout of the parasite, they may not get a lethal infestation the next time the Ich goes through the their cycle and he is re-exposed. The Ich isn't dead in there... it's just at lower undetectable levels.

How can I increase the odds of my fish living through a bout of Ich while still in the tank.... that would have had a different answer. How do you get rid of it? That only has but three answers and Pickup answered that correctly.

sorry all for the delay in post, i have been grounded from the computer lol.... well anywho i got some ich attack and began dosing and the fish have stopped rubbing on the rocks!!
