I have one single bubble of green algae on one of my live rock that has progressively gotten larger... what is the best way to dispose of this nuisance? - (or should I simply just dispose the whole rock?):-/:-/:-/:confused::confused::-/

gently spin it until the holdfast that is holding it to the rock snaps

Agreed, but do your best not to pop it as the spores to spawn more bubbles are in side. Emerald Crabs will eat the bubbles as well.

Might want to consider the cause as a solution tho, Excess Nutrients, low lighting, phosphates? unless it came with a new rock...then sure, peel it off and you're all fixed up :)

You can generally pop them right off of the rock. They're not as brittle as they look. I use a set of forceps. I had one spot, popped it off and plastered the tiny spot over with marine epoxy.

Definitely!! I "salted the earth" so to speak, LMAO!!!

What's nice is that the epoxy was white but it's been about a week and it's already turning pinkish with coralline :D

Thanks for all your replies. My family had a "rock-rearranging-party" when I was at work and now I can not find the stincker! Hopefully the newly purchased crabs will find the bubble and dispose of it accordingly!
