Ok, so i am going to get my lr, ls, and h20 this weekend. I plan to fill the thank half way with h20, put the rocks in, then then sand, then a question came to mind, how do i go about putting sand between the rocks? I have a puffer and will be getting a melenurus wrasse when the tank is ready and both fish sleep in the sand. So what do i use to make sure the sand will get in between the rocks?

put the sand in and you can use a powerhead kind of like a leaf blower and move it around with that..

just don't worry too much about leveling it all out... it will eventually (probably sooner rather than later) level out on its own from the currents in the tank... filling any 'empty' spaces magically. i love magic ;)

I just use my hand and kinda broom the sand in between the live rock.

some fish will naturally kick it back out if they like that hole to sleep in. :)

if you are adding the sand in dry you could use a large funnel onto a large hose and funnel it into it but if its dry i would also suggest the pump as a leaf blower idea. works well
