how do you clean out a venturi?

    Update, did the flush the tube today and it really did seem to help! Thanks all for the advice!

    I will heat up a glass or small bowl of RO/DI water in the microwave and put the airline in the water and it will suck the water up no need to inject the water into the tube.

    every 3 months remove the pump and disassemble and soak parts in vinegar or run the pump in a container of vinegar ....this will dissolve any calcareous material...you can do the same for any powerheads

    +1 Also, I like to run the skimmer overnight in about a 30% vinegar solution.
