I have an idea for a good website. How do you create a website? Remember you are talking to a beginner here.. Not computer illiterate but a total newb (as we would call it) to this. Quick learner.

Good software to design it? Hosting? Advertising? Etc.. Matt Rogers you are more than welcome to chime in here!

Honestly, it be way to hard to type, it take ppl years to fully grasp the coding and programming needed to do it. Unless your referring to one of those services that lets you choose predetermined layouts with different borders and txt and such. Otherwise you will see how html coding is when you start out like

    <title></title>
    <ahref=""></ref>

And it goes on and on and on and on, some very confusing stuff, if you have no prior experience. Thats not even mentioning using programs like dreamweaver. which in college they have classes deticated to just navigating that software let alone mastering it. Its not impossible if your really interested look at dreamweaver and some basic html coding for your basic run of the mill site.

Right click on any webpage you visit and click "Source" on internet explorer or "View Page Source" on Mozilla Firefox, and youll get html coding of that page. Look how long/complex (at first untill you've worked with it, i did back in High School so its kinda still with me) that mess is in comparison to how "simple" the page looks or you think it looks any who. lol

    Ding, ding ding!

If you want to create a free website and don't mind a couple ads on the page, I would suggest Wix. It's not the best, but pretty good for someone who doesn't know how to code.

I had used microsoft frontpage and it was fairly simple and let you do everything graphically or view html code. You could also set it up to publish right to the server.

    $100s - $1000s, depending on how complex.
