How do you deal with evap?

    Well I hear you, but it may be OK for me, since my tank is a lot smaller than yours and I don't lose all that much water.

    I'm gonna keep looking though, out of curiousity.

    i dont have any meters or anything like that i just add water when it starts gettin low

    I'm with you, karla. I have a place marked on my sump that is my ideal "water level." If it drops below there, I just add fresh until it is equal again.

    I don't trust automatic stuff like that Kent thing. Not after my automatic "limewater" disaster... :-[

    I'll just do it myself, thank you.

    I add top-off water by hand as well and use it to dose Seachem Calcium, Reff Builder, and Reef Complete. I dose the beginner amounts from a half gallon jug on successive days Sunday through Tuesday.

    Lifereef float, maxi jet 600, 5 gal bucket. I'm losing between 2 - 3 gal per day. Too much for me to do manually!
