    Melevsreef.com - What is a Sump?

right in the middle of the page linked above
there is a mag pump application chart tab

is it for the 180 gallon tank? reef tanks are all about the flow in the tank not through the sump/fuge.

Mag 1800 is what you need for a 180 optimum flow through sump is 4 to 5x's per hr with head and maybe running a reactor or somthing else a 1800 will do you fine

I am running a Mag 24 on my 150 and it is a little dialed back.

Someone was selling one pretty cheap here recently. Check the classified section.

I agree with tangster here.....I like 4-6 times through the sump! let the skimmer and macros do their jobs.
