Do you always have incoming preashure? Do you have a vaulve to shut off the optput when your not filling your containers or do you turn the whole unit off?

I always leave my units under pressure. If you have an autoshutoff valve thats the way they work, when the reservoir or storage tank is full it triggers the ASOV to shut off the flow to both the treated and waste lines and flow stops.

That brings up an interesting point. Is it a problem to leave the units unpressurized, but still wet, when not in use?

No not really as long as you use the unit every 7-10 days and always make sure they still have water in the membrane and DI sections.
If you use the unit for drinking water, for sanitary purposes it is best if it stays pressurized at all times so nothing can enter the housings or lines.
