How do you move a anemone?

    How do you move an anemone without hurting the foot of it...................Any suggetsions?

    I dont actually have one yet i was just wondering how to move it so when i do purchase one and i want to move it i dont hurt it............I hear alot about hurting the foot.........

    you don't.... if you move "it" to a place that you like and "it" doesn’t like it, it will move back or to a newer locations and may knock your corals over in the move . best thing to do is built around “it”.

    piss it off aim power heads at it and when it decieds to move it will let go and then you can snatch it up.

    I understand it will move if it doenst like the light etc......What im trying to figure out is how to move it if its attached to something and specific ways of going about unattaching it

    to move a anemone the key is to get a finger under the base and gently wiggle it until the anemone lets go. warning: if you rip the base of a anemone it probably will die, but buy doing this process gently there is very little chance of that.

    like mentioned above a anemone will move if its not happy were you put it.

    If you get an anemone and it moves to a place and is happy there...and you don't like it...well that's too bad for you. :) Better to let the anemone be happy than stress it out. Either way, you have your answer above.
