Bleach water for a few days then clean water then leave in the sun for a week then clean water again usually works pretty well.

glad to see you didnt give up and took the advice to nuke the rock, heres how:

1)50/50 bleach mix with water for 2-3 days
2)dump water, add clean water let sit for 2-3 days or longer if you like
3)dump water, add clean water let sit for 2-3 days or longer if you like
4)dump water, add clean water with 1 lb of baking soda per 10 gal of water let sit for 2-3 days or longer if you like
    5) dump water take rock out and let dry

others do another soak after the baking soda, i dont.

Make a 5-!0% bleach and water mix. Soak them for a day or two.. You will have lots of crap die off so you will have to rinse them well and soak them in regular water with a strong circ pump or powerhead. I recommend using a 30 gallon tub that you can get most places for $7.

all that is using freshwater right ? is tap water OK or does it have to be RO/DI ? I took about 15-20lbs of LR from my 65 gallon to get rid of my damn pulsing xenia so I need to make the LR back to base rock ....

Yes, use freshwater. Personally, I would use RO/DI water to remove any heavy metals that are present in tap water.

Well right on friend ! I knew you would stick with it – and I am also very glad !

In your other thread I offered to send some frag’s your way if you choose to give it another go. In another thread I offered Coralline to someone – just *finally* sent that out a few days ago (3 weeks later)….I guess I am an old slow guy. I just got a gift certificate for $30 to MarineDepot.com – I’ll PM you the number in a sec. Post a pic of the coral/fish you buy with it please. This will be quicker than promising to mail out a frag :) Good luck friend.
