I have the pinpoint moniter on the ReefKeeper now. I just started dosing with Kalk 2 days ago. I guess I'll just keep dosing daily with the ATO water and see what happens.
Just can't understand how all three tanks, the 155, the 28 Nano, and the QT tank got so low in the first place. My RODI says 0 coming out.

Yeah! And the only thing I changed was the lighting from T-5's to 150w halides, and my salt brand due to the LFS was out of stock on my Reef Crystals.
Its up to 8.09 as of yesterday right before the lights went out, but its 7.90 as of this morning.

i used buffer to raise my ph to 8.2 when i started with the kalk in my ATO . the kalk holds that ph at the 8.2 i buffered up to. i do see a slight drop at night/morning reading, the drop your seeing looks normal for night to day readings. i get the same thing.

Cool! I was wondering how much of a drop is normal for night/day. I am using a buffer daily to bring it up now also. I know you can't bring the Ph up rapidly, so a little gain every day is what I am looking for.
I have a Kalk reactor on the way from MarineDepot to replace the Poland Spring bottle with airline tubing I use for dosing. -haha.

i ordered a reactor from aqua cave ( the stirrer type). and it was on back order, after 3 weeks of waiting, i finally canceled it. since i have found a easy way to add the kalk to my auto top off water. also decided to buy a larger top off water container, i have a 5 gallon now, 11 gallons is what im thinking will last me the week. so i will just have to play with kalk once a week.

what type of reactor did you order?

For smaller systems, the new Two Little Fishies reactor is pretty inexpensive and works well.

No, but my buddy has one. He likes it and he has it on a 200DD Starfire Marineland tank.
