my question exactly. How does an Air Siphon on a sumps pump in line work. I would think that water would be pumped through it? I have not tied my skimmer into my return pump via manifold yet, because I just cant grasp this concept..

If its what I'm thinking it is, you need some tubing to go from the air siphon adapter to above the water line to get air into the mix. Are you talking about modding your skimmer to run it recirculating and having it fed by your return? If so only the recirculating pump on the skimmer needs air for bubbles, not the return / feed pump.

so from this I assume you want your skimmer to be run by your return pump?

yeah, it would be nice to have it all ran off one pump.. Less heat.. I have an extra output not being used on my manifold, so I though I would get some info here before I jump on it.
