Do you glue or epoxy the lr together or does it just stack up? Remember I'm new now.

You can get it to stay without glue or anything through stacking but it may not be stable. Glue or epoxy is the way to make it stable. You can also use acrylic rods and drill holes for the rod to hold the rock steady.

What 2in10 said. I use AquaMend epoxy to stick the looser rocks in place but mostly just fit them together so they kind of 'locked' together.

Just think of it as a real life game of "Tetris". ;-) Except that if you don't wear gloves when you play, your fingertips will be sore for a couple of weeks.

I just fit mine together because I am prone to rearranging now and then.

yeah one thing to consider is if you epoxy or glue, it is a more permanent fix and you can't as easily move stuff around. I prefer to stack if possible because in the event of a teritorial dispute i can move a few pieces of rock around. I also just had to remove a piece cause it was infested with majanos and i wouldn't have been able to remove them from the LR without poisioning the water. I can take the rock out and kill them outside of my tank.

Just a few things to consider before making stuff permanent

I just stacked my rock. If you take the time and are careful, you can get the pieces to kind of lock together. Haven't had any rock slides yet.
