I would put the fuge on one of the ends so you can slow the flow to it down. Make the return pump chamber in the middle and put the skimmer on the inflow from the display tank side. That mean display tank water and fuge water will flow over to the middle where the return pump will put it back in the display.

Rats! I didn't even think about that. I'll see how this will work out before I go and re-design it. It's a pain to get the silicon off now. :( Thanks for the suggestion, I'll do that from the start when I make my acrylic fuge for my girlfriend.

I went to put the tank under the stand it's it was freaking 1/2" too big to wiggle it in place! The stand is big enough for it, but the openings required the tank to go it vertically. I figured I would put it in vertically and just tilt in while inside to get it to sit right, NOPE! The tank from across corner to corner is 23.5" and the stand has 23" of room inside. The tank itself is 21" long. I had to cut a couple notches in the back of the stand to be able to slide it in place. I'll post pics soon. Darn sawdust got everywhere too, including inside the tank. :furious3: I put cling wrap when I cut the second side of the stand. Word to the wise, if you ever have to modify your stand where jigsaws or circular saws are needed, saran wrap your tank! :dunce2:

I finally finished up my fuge last night! Well 95% anyway. I got a gl*******s OF box kit and got to work last night. I grinded away and popped out the 1-1/4" hole for the box and the tank, connected my drain down to my fuge and put in my sugar sand. I'm still waiting on some final parts from Dr. Foster and Smith (whom I am now boycotting btw) so I can plumb my chiller into my system. When the parts come in, I will drill the final hole for the return and I will be 100% done! As long as your glass is not tempered, drilling is a breeze. Make sure you you have a guide in place to kee your bit from wandering, or you will end up with some messed up looking glass. I also taped the inside of the tank to keep the glass from breaking through. Yes, I did it with my tank still stocked. The actual drilling took about 5 mins with no help. I drilled with a Li-Ion 14.4V drill on #3 setting and kept the speed down to about 700rpm. I sprayed water on the bit and area every 30 secs to keep it cool. I kept a towel around my tank to catch the water as well. I had paper towels handy to wipe away the glass, well the glass actually gets pulverized into a fine powdery sand. It was actually fun doing this. :)

And Part 3. After it ran all night, the tanks cleared up quite a bit and my anemone is back to normal. It didn't like the substrate dust that was blown around the tanks and made itself into a fist, as you can see in the other pics. Everyone seems happy now, hopefully my GHA will be a thing of the past now. :)
