About 2 weeks ago my yellow tang got the infamous black ich which looks just like normal ich except black dots instead of white. When I saw he had ich I just bumped up the feedings for the next 2 days and he was over it by then.

I had some ich on a few fishes lately.. all gone.. did lose my royal gramma.. if you notice any of them stop eating.. pull them out of your DT into a QT tank right away.. my gramma died within 3 days of not eating.. Im going to invest in a UV steriziler and a cleaner shrimp and cleaner goby.. all 3 help with ich.. UV only whats in the water stream though..

Im sure if you shop around you can get all three items for around $100-150 bucks..

True marine ich Cryptocaryon seldom ever kills a fish. There is a rather new resistant strain of Cryptocaryon Irritans thats appeared a yr or so back that is a different game and then there is the Tiny, whitish dusting covering called Oodinium and thats a different bug all together . But with true Ich heat and lessened stress levels will take care of it the newer strain then Copper or Formaldehyde will do nothing at all only thing I know that will kill it off is the use of Quinine Sulfate and this also works well on brooklynella another bumpy disease Now brooklynella this will also kill in a few days as will the Oddinium and the more resistant strain of ich All white bumps are not equal
