how fast does my bridge need to be to stream video

i bought a blue ray player and im going to hook it up to my wifi network via an ether net bridge.my questtion is how fast will i need it to be to say stream netflix videos or you tube videos on it?

 

im not an electronics expert by any means but....

i have a N+ belkin router. i dont bother trying to download HD movies with my playstation. takes to long

SD works great though. i can watch as soon as i start download without any lag


now im not sure with "streaming" video, but i would imagine you might get into the same boat with HD. its just so much more info. a 2-3G SD movie is like 6-7G in HD


either way with video.......get the faster availible. although i think there is some sort of ceiling with speed via wireless.

 

yeah i found a cheap wireless bridge for $25 at a local computer shop 14mps. i asked the kid there and he was clueless lol

 

my friend is able to watch netflix on his xbox which is on a really slow internet connection about 1-2 mbs. the video quality goes down with your internet connection. I have a neer perfect connection and can even stream reaad hd videos off netflix i have 8-12 mbs. hope this helps a bit.

 

its not about the router though, its more about the internet your paying for. a good router would be nice but im running something similar to what you just got and it works just fine. but i pay mediacom for my 12 mb/s.
