If you haven't read the reviews page, the seaclone is reasonably priced, a breeze to set up, and very quiet. On the down side, it doesn't seem to produce much skimmate. As a hang-on, I regularly have to tweak the air valve to prevent microbubbles from returning to the tank.
I haven't had others to compare it to.

I use one on a 45 gallon reef as a hang on. I have no complaints. I have great water quality, it produces skimate reliably. I would buy another one.

all i've read has showed the sea clone as bad. i hear the aqua remora c and the coralife super skimmer as good. i'm going with the aqua remora c for my 55g. supposed to be great and easy to use. go to this website, they have really good prices. www.mops.ca

If you have a sump, there are better options. If you need a hang on, it's not bad. I've used them for years on pre RR tanks with good output. If you do use one, go with the 150 vs 100, it has better output. They can generate micro bubbles which can be a problem if you use it as a hang on. Since the 150 is taller it seems to generate less which is another plus. It is finicky.

As a seclone owner(it's still in the closet). I would NEVER suggest buying one. It inconsistant and under-powered. The best thing about is you have a maxi-jet left over when you get sick of messing with it.
For a tank that size just about any of the other suggestions are better. The coralifes, ASM, PCI, and remora's are all better skimmers than the clone.

If cost is an issue, look at the coral life super skimmers. You can find them online for a reasonable price. My best advice is to not skimp on a skimmer because you will be sorry in the long run and may end up spending more money to replace a poor performing skimmer. Check ebay for skimmers daily, you can find some good deals.
