how hard would it be to make this???

    i know they sell them but just maybe it would be a lil cheaper for me to build myself but if i had more money i'd buy from them but it is a great design

    Those tanks are very cool. A LFS by me has one with an led fixture above.

    Only problem is all the little kids thinks its cool how the water overflows the rim. Everyones always touching it to see how it is. The problem is the grease and dirt on their hands. Causing the tank to have unwanted algae. You almost would want to have a "do not touch" sign above the tank.

    Those tanks look so cool in person. oceansgallery2 in NJ has one when you first walk in..they are veeery quiet...

    Really it looks like you would just need an acrylic tank without overflows and place it in a shallow sink basin. Should be able to do it with glass or acrylic, but either way the top edges would need to curved and polished to keep from producing ripples on the surface as it overflows.

    My LFS has a gigantic one of these, must be at least 200gal, where they keep all the corals that they have for sale. I hadn't been there in a few months and went I went in a few weeks ago I saw it and was like 'Whoa!'

    It's gorgeous, and if money were not a factor I would buy one in a second.
