Ask around and read and do what yopu feel is right-I was always afraid that the shrimp thing did not continue to add waste for the bacteria to feed off of and continue the cycle-
I DONT KNOW THAT FOR SURE so please check that out perhaps-
Myself the Yellow Tail are not bad little fish, so they helped me cycle
Heres one of my little buddies-he is not hating me for what I did-I asked 'em;D

it's a nice looking fish, my only worry is their aggression, i decided i'm not going to get a goby, so the most passive fish in the tank would be the wrasse, since i herd the gramma and b and w clownfish can be a little aggressive

personal experiance with Purple gramma -Little fish syndrome-very much attitude, you can see it in their eyes-LOL

My damsels have never bothered any fish, they get ran around if anything, they chase each other but thats it.
I have a Purple Tang, neon dottyback, lawnmower blenny maroon clown and 2 damsels. i HAVE HAD FLAMEHAWKS, BELLAS ANGEL, LEOPARD WRASSE, orange shoulder tang- no problems with any of those.

    I did have 2- 4 sripe damsels-they went back-to aggressive

Sorry for the caps, Im typing challenged

what about cycling with a green chromis damsel? their pretty i, wouldn't mind having one of them long term, but i don't know if there would be enough room for a school, but maybe i could get away with 2 of them

I had actually used the green chromis-sorry forgot about those-probablly because they did not make it, I think because they were getting chased and beat on by the other damsels coupled with high levels. Your levels are low enogh in my opinion that the chromis would work, but I would ask the LFS to check your water and if you bought the Chromis, would they guarantee them for say a week, most my LFS here do that.

I dont want to steer you wrong by the advise on who would work well. I did not have issues with the wrasse, granted I opted to trade him in as well just because at that time I thought I was stocked heavily.
Now my NO3 is so low I could add and feed daily and no issues-cross fingers
My LFS loves me I buy retail, trade in at 30% of what I paid after a month or two, and then 3-4 months later buy again-perputual cycle.

I'm thing on a 2 spot wrasse today, or maybe another flamehawk-those are the neatest fish, great character and always up front wanting to be the center of attention-Mine oddly jumped out of the tank
