how high to mount leds?

I made some mistakes like this in the past, be glad you didnt make a $3000 mistake like my buddy on his tank

 

what size of tank are we talking here? 350 can do alot for a tank upto about 40-60 gallons

You should be able to do a diy kit for around that price! contact rapidled or martin at modularLED.ca he could probably make something happen for you, he is an awesome Guy I buy all my lighting equiptment from him. tell him your budget, and tank dimensions, types of coral you want to keep he could mostlikely make it happen!

 

Well after much frustration I decided to stick with what I bought. Especially for the price. I have heard of two people that have leds from stark and both like them. So hell ill give it a shot. Ill get pics up when they come in and start a review

 

i mounted mine by building a frame out of 1" AL L angle, riveted together and painted black, resting on the side braces in the canopy.

 

That's what I plan on doing.. having a piece come up from sides of canopy and then about 20 inch across tank and mount the wiring against that so you can't see any wires hanging.
