    see if you can tell from the picks wether its just new tank algae or somthing that i need to take drastic measures on?

    2 things, use the link mike provided to reefcleaners and fill out the custom cuc form - compare john's response to your current cuc members. I suspect you will find your crew is rather short handed and overworked :)

    second is the shot of the sand looks like a normal diatom bloom, but it also looks like you may have a dead spot in the circulation because its all in one spot.

    other than that its a cool looking tank, good luck.

    patients is key. Mine looked nasty for about 4-5 months with some dinos... but they went away... i also had some nasty green algae on my rocks...with cuc and time things should balance out.

    Agreed with the diatom bloom. It is a regular thing a few months after setting up a new tank. I would also look into the flow earlier recommended. Do you have good flow to these areas?

    Also carbon will make a huge difference in the clarity of the water.. and if your skimmer is performing effieciently.
