how is this possible?

so, I'm a dialysis patient (a really weird one ) and I have something going on with fluid. I pass too much and so when I go to the clinic to get treatment they give me fluid instead of taking it :sweethear, but this is where it gets weird. I "weigh in" when I get there in kilos (to day I was 73.3) and when I get on the machine they give me saline in a measured amount. To day I came in at 73.3 and the gave me .9 letters of saline (one letter= one kilo) so I should have weighed 74.2 kilos before I went to the bathroom but I did not, I weighed 73.8 before I went to the bathroom???? where did the other .4 kilos go?? That's over 1 pound of missing weight? I mean I can hold the saline in my hand and it will add up our weigh as it should, but you put it in my body and it looses something some how?? I don't understand!

 

neither do I, but probably cuz I'm 14 XD. What exactly is dialysis?

 

you and thesaltguy are some pretty smart kids, it might take a kids mind (the ability to look at thing with out knowledge of how it "should" work) to figure this out

dialysis is a method of replacing my kidney function, but trust me it's not really something you want to know much about.

oh sorry you are thesaltguy lol now I got to go find out what that other kids name is. I really do think that kids can be (most of the time are) smarter than most adults.

 

yeah when you posted that I was like wtf? because i thought u were referring to me lol. Well reading what you wrote again it is kinda weird that happened; where'd the rest of the weight go? I see no way to explain that; maybe ur just special!

 

mabe they weighed you wrong? id say persparation but thats alot of sweat lol hmm u got me

 

i was thinking that too but that'd be weird IMO
