i placed 3 small zoa heads on my 150g tank that has about 130 watts.. they have been there for about a week now.. and i also have what the LFS said to be a snake coral in there as well... that one has been there close to 4 weeks now.. they still seem healthy.. does that mean im ok? or does it take long for corals to die without enough lights? or do i have enough lights for them 2?

Corals can take a very, very long time to die. Anemones can take 6+ months just to starve to death, so their very close, skeleton-bearing relatives are likely to be the same in that regard.

Snake coral is a type of zoa. Just put them on the rocks in the open. Give them moderate to strong flow if you want them to grow fast and close to each other.

i am glad i can keep some coral in my tank. do you know of any other type of coral i might be able to keep in there as well?

Any polyp would probably do well just read up on their light preference and adjust their location accordingly as with any coral you wish to get. Mushrooms and any LPS coral. You might be able to some montiporas if you place them at the top of your rocks.

I had a LPS(pavona) that has been dying for about 3 months, it drives me crazy and I want to take it out. Its that hopeful part of me that says "maybe it will come around"
