Just wondering how long people typically have their water around before it goes into the tank. I need to get a bigger unit as mine only produces 25 gallons per day. I want to make a barrel full and (Brute 32 gallon trash can) and then cover it so that I can have it when I need it. I am concerned about it becoming stagnant though. Any thoughts?

In a relatively air-tight container like that, quite a while. It wouldn't worry me much to store like that for a month or two.

It can only become stagnant if something gets into it. Otherwise, you've got pure water there. So as long as you keep the lid on tight and occasionally wipe the container out when it's empty, there's not much worry here.

I keep my ro/di water in a 32 gallon container with a lid. I'll let it get empty once every month or two, then I wash it with a little bleach and ro/di water. Then I rinse it well with more ro/di water.

Cool! Thanks guys. You're probably right, I will use it quickly, but I would like to have a good amount on hand for when I need it.

I store it for 3-4 months sometimes in jugs or 5G drinking water bottles as long as they are capped. Never a problem.
