Someone was nice enough to give me some frags today, but I had to leave it in a container for over 2 hours, but it was with me everywhere it went so it wouldn't sit in the car... I got home, of course everything was closed, but I was just wondering after acclimating them and gluing them onto rocks, how long will it take for them to open up again?

    My parameters are:
    0 ammonia
    0-0.5 nitrite
    20 nitrate
    80 degrees F

the others like calcium, mg, etc should be fine since I'm using IO:Reef Crystals. I also have a 48inch quad PC fixture in a 75g tank-48inches wide, and moderate water flow.

It could take 24hours or a little longer, the gsp should do well under pc lighting.I find my xenia does well with strong lighting so place it in the upper part of your tank if you can, moderate flow is good for both.

    Hi there
Good question.. Usually xenia coral will take about a hour or two to open up. Xenia are hardy corals so they aclimate and reproduce very fast. I would recommend for you to put it where there is moderate flow of water not to strong. As far as your gsp and zoas, give them a day or two as well. If you got some pictures of them I could tell you a bit more about them. Just be sure to put them were you like and do not move them until they fully aclimate. I hope this helps and if you got futher question feel free to ask.

thanks guys! they're starting to come out a tad bit this morning before I left for work. It worried me because a couple of weeks ago my temp was like 84-85 and I didn't realize it was that high. I added some zoa frags (the guy I got them from beat them up a bit...) and they ended up never opening I got scared if it was the temp or just my tank was just bad...I'll update in a couple of days about the conditions (hopefully they come out and grow :D)
