For dead rock to become live? I have 26-27 lbs of rock 7 of which were live and a lush purple. I'm just wondering why the other rock is not turning purple?

well it depends on what you mean by live. the rock is already covered in amonia and nitrate eating bacteria which is why we call it live rock now as far as it being covered in coraline algae that could take a few months.

    ligting?
    calcium?
    flow?
    rock surface?

alot of things can come into play but if you keep your parm in check i would say like 2 months

Do you know all the ingredients in that, and are you testing them to make sure you don't OD your tank? If not, then I highly recommend you rethink using it.

Nothing good happens fast in this hobby, and trying to force the issue with miracle snake oil products can easily lead to disaster. First rule for success: Never, ever dose anything for which you can't test.

Using purple up is basically like adding calcium plus the other supplements that people sell that contain elements that are replaced by water changes, including some that can cause issues if overdosed. Dosing calcium/2 part will do the same thing without the risks.
