Just wondring about how long it took for everyone to start seeing new coraline growth on the rocks and back of the tank after it was set up.

We started seeing it at about two months in our large tank, cant get it to grow at all in our smaller reef. The parameters are almost identical...Go figure...4 months later and it has completely encrusted the bank of the tank with multiple layers of different shades of pink, purple, and red...We have to scrape it off of the front about once a month...The parameters have to be on the good side, including balanced alkalinity and calcium with the appropriate amount of iodine...Too much light initially could hinder growth...

Yeah, 2-3 months after the live rock cures.

After a year and 2 months, you can cover all 4 sides of a BioCube 14g :p
