I was reading online about LT Plate corals, I bought one out of impulse, i know mistake, but thought it was really cool and got a great deal. Anyway, i read online that many do not survive long in home aquariums, mine lasted about two months, was eating great, homemade mixed fish paste. One day he closed up, and over the last three weeks he slowly died. His skeleton appeared and was just rock hard. Was curious how long any of yous have had your LT plate for, or heard of this happening.

I have had mine about a year and a half. They are very hardy corals. Long tentacle plate corals are a little less hardy.

I had it placed on the bottom on the sand. He would love to eat. Fed him once every week. He would take it from the end tenticle and bring it towards his mouth. He would go in every nite, but would open back up every morn when the lights came out. One morn he never opened back up, till finally his skeleton started to show where his tenticles once were. All params stayed the same, didnt move him or anything.
