How long is a Cleaner Shrimp good in a fish bag?

    You know the ones the LFS puts them in? Saw some on sale, got one for my office tank but I need him to last about 12 hours in the bag. It wasn't an oxygen infused bag, just normally tied. I have the bag floating in one of my tanks at home to keep the temperature normalized.

    Can you not take a plastic container, put holes in it and transfer the shrimp to that and float it in your tank at home?

    Shouldn't be a problem, but if you wanted to be REALLY safe, simply open the bag and let fresh oxygen in tonight before you go to bed. Then when you first wake up, open the bag and let more fresh air in before you hit the shower.

    No way a single cleaner shrimp needs more than that. In fact, he should be OK for about 36 hours...but that doesn't give you peace of mind, does it? ;)
