How long should I leave my lighting on?

    I have a 47 gallon tank with about 47lbs of live rock in it, how long should I be keeping my light on? I have a T5 fixture, reef set up, no corals as of yet.

    8 to 12 hours a day.

    Yep. I do an hour extra one either side for actinics only. Sunrise/Sunset.

    I had it set up for 12 hours, I just changed it to 9.5 to see how that works.

    ive got my actinics on for 12 hrs. and the ho's on for about 9. its seems to wortk fine for me. 24" deep tank
