How long shuild i leve my lights on?

    How long do i leve lights on ATM i leve them on from 11:00AM-6:00PM is this to much or is that not enough?

    it really depends on what stage your tank is in..
    cycle stage, i wouldn't even really turn on the lights, maybe just 2-3 hours a day so it doesn't promote an algae outbreak
    established tank with everything in place including corals? i would do about 8 hours a day, so anywhere from 6-9 hours i think should be fine.. also depends on your water parameters whether or not your phosphate is too high or your ph is too low, that would affect having some extra algae growth that you don't need as well..
    so if you have a established tank with corals which is a reef tank i would recommend anywhere from 6-9 hours
