How long to expect fighting

I have never really had any fighting to new comers, i just got a midas blenny, my pink margin fairy wrasse is totally attacking the bag and she is pissed, the midas is about the same size as her and i guess she thinks its another wrasse. I am afraid of what she's gong to do to him/her once i release it.

How long does the fighting for new additions last? Im going to be turning off the lights once i release him and feed the fish right away

 

I've had some bad fighting with new additions. Most of them resolved in one day. My wrasses lasted about three days. I would leave lights off for the rest of today, and then see how it is. If it keeps getting worse you may have to move some rocks around.

 

ok, i really hope i wont have to move my rocks, lol i love my scape too much to do that, but if the fighting gets really nasty i will

 

Several times I had to break up the fighting manually. So have your net handy!
