LOLOLOLOL thanks ya'll. My old sponge thread almost turned into a new xenia thread!

Because it's invasive. I know I wasn't talking about xenia, someone else brought it up, but I too have gotten rid of all my pulsing xenia. I got rid of all that, all my anthelia, and all my gsp. All that crap just causes problems long run. If I could get rid of all the coralline (in my tank, not from 3reef ;)) I'd do that too.

Same here. I have had some sponges die from air exposure, but the majority don't seem to care. When I was moving (back in November) I didn't give 2 thoughts about sponge and made 0 effort to protect them.

Now the invasive sponge this thread was about, I got rid of that (for the most part) couple years ago. But all my current "pretty sponge"... had no issues. My bright yellow one particularly didn't seem to care.

I think it depends on the sponge.

The invasive sponge, that rock got nuked and the coral frag it came on got dipped.

EDIT: that invasive sponge, btw, didn't give two hoots about being in FW. That made no dent in it whatsoever.
