How long should you wait to test your water after changing your water? I just did a 7 g change on my 46 g and the high nitrates remained the same.

So if your NO4 was at 25 a 7g water change would put them and 21ish still really high.

    Plus one.
You have to wait 100% in this hobby. My tank is 6 months old and I'm just adding my 5th coral and 4th fish now. It's a very slow process

Nitrate levels in a marine aquarium never be above 15 ppm I guess. Ideally you want a level of 5 ppm or below. I think that you will be alright, but I would continue to do 10% water changes every day or so until you get the nitrates down. Good luck. You can try and get some seachem purigen as well, that should help.

Lol, that is why I suggest 10% daily water changes. He isn't to far off though from 15 ppm. A couple more water changes should really help along with running something like purigen, or any other filter media that will remove nitrates. ;D
