I'm new to this who fragging fun, but it does seem to be pretty fun as long as you do it with caution and not in excess....well with that said, I took a small piece off of a white finger leather I have and rubber banded it to a rock. It seems to be doing very well, fully extended almost and i have a gentle current on it. How long will it take before I can remove the rubber band?

good chance of it being 3-5 days.

I recommend leaving it for 7. Nothing more annoying than having an almost fully connected frag get ripped off by a crab or current or what not and having to start over.

Ok, i was going to give it a good week. I decided to start fragging it because the main piece started to look a little "sick". Well, maybe not sick but it completely detached from it's rock. I inherited this coral so I'm not sure of it's condition prior to about 3 weeks ago. I actually took the main coral and rubber banded that around a rock too :) I haven't decided to keep the big piece intact or shred it a little more.

Haha! I had the same problem! I auctally got a frag from a friend and it was on a cement block when i got it and it came off! I thought it was gone or died but just yesterday i found it in the over flow about 1 foot tall! When i got it from my friend it was about 1/2 and inch! I am so surprized and it is ATACHED to the the inside of the over flow. I am sorry about your and i think it will take about 2 to 3 days or whenever you see it hanging on by itself. Good Luck! :)
