I thought I ripped the byssal foot off of my clam, but it regrew another one in about 4-5 days.. then it was fine for about a month when it decided to move down the rock pile, ripping and regrowing the threads on its journey down.. I now have it on the bottom on a rock I put it on 2 days ago and it is already attaching itself.. clams are crazy..

If it likes it's placement and environment, it will attach quickly.
