How long with no filtration??

I have been having issues with my sump and return pump since I started it up. Aparrently the owner of the fish store sold me me pump WAY to big for my tank and then wouldn't let me return it, so he gave me a valve to attach to the house that slows down the water flow back into the tank, but it's really sensitive and if anything touches the valve the pump will suck itself dry or not suck at all. I got frustrated with it this morning abd unplugged it before I left for work. So my question is, how long will it be alright without filtration?? It has two power heads in keeping the water moving. I'm
Going to go buy a small pump tonight but I don't really have time to set everything back up tonight, is is it possible to do it tomorrow!? Thanks!!

 

yes you should be fine imo the two powerheads will be circulating enough water to keep it clean enough

 

If you have enough LR you have filtration. A sump just adds to it and is very nice to have, but not a make or break for an aquarium.

 

Yeah I agree with the others, you should be fine. It seems like I read a thread like this every other day where someone has relied on the LFS for information and in the end it has ended up costing them more money. It sucks but at least you know what the problem is and how to fix it. Maybe you can sell the pump to someone here.
