So i noticed my return hose had no water coming out of it, found out there was a kink in it behind my tank. So I turned everything off and made the hose shorterand reconnected it. Well in the process I lost the shiphon to my overflow box. When i tried to get it going again with a small air hose I got a mouth full of tank water. so disgusting!! Anyways I need a bigger hose but im heading out for the after noon, will my tank be okay with no filtration for 6-7 hours? My lights and power heads are still on but thats about it. Thanks

    +1 on Jason McKenzie

from experience, I had a series of 6 - 8 hour power cuts last year, one day in every week

this meant I had no water movement aside from what I could generate with battery airpumps
and had to float bags with ice in to maintain temp

    everything was fine
so with your power heads still on circulating water your in a better situation than I was

not sure what temp your tank will get to , but if your in a location that requires a heater thermostat and at present its in the sump, may be worth relocating this to the DT until the sump is up and running again
