a friend of mine is going out of the hobby (the same friend that got me in the hobby) and i was asked if i wanted to take her fish. i said yes, and hey will be here either today or tomorrow. my only concern is that she has

    From her 46 gallon:

    two yellow tail damsels,
    a clown fish,
    six line wrasse,
    and a yellow damsel.

    i already have

    in my 55 gallon:

    a yellow tail damsel,
    a yellow damsel,
    and a striped damsel

im hopeful that they will get along, but just in case im wrong, whats the worst case senario? :-/

I am not sure this ends well. Not to be a debbie downer but assuming these are younger fish the territory battles are going to grow as the fish grow. If they are older and some have already established their territories adding the new ones is gonna be trouble. My experience is limited to a blue-yellow tail damsel that is pretty docile in a 75 and an A@#hole yellow damsel I had to completely tear down my tank to get rid of. She terrorized everyone including 1 clown a sixline wrasse the other damsel and a yellow eyed tang.

I am guessing eventually fewer damsels since we don't know the sizes.

HHHOOOOLLLLYYY CCCRRRAAAPPP!!! the yellow damsel they gave me, i mistook for a yellow tang because of its size o_O its HUGE!!! the yellow tails stick together, almost schooling, and everyone else seems happy, so far. only time will tell.

P.S. i cant get a good pic of the yellow damsel with size reference, but its 5 inches long and easily 2-3 inches tall o_O

    happy reefing!

I hope your experience is better than mine! My yellow damsel was the worst behaved fish I have ever seen. Good Luck! Lol
