Like the title says i have a 60g tank and have been thinking about the fish i want in it, but i dont want to overstock it.

    I currently have:

    2 Clarkii Clownfish
Foxface Rabbitfish (i realize these can get big but the lfs said they would take it back if it got to be too big for my tank)
    2 Bangaii cardinals

I was thinking of getting a diamond goby to clean the sand bed, a mandarin dragonet and 4-5 chromis.

The fish i have now are all relativly small, the bangaii's are 2 inches, the clowns maybe 3-4 inches and the foxface around 5 inches.

If i added the fish that i wanted to get would i end up overstocking the tank, what do you guys think?

If it is a reef tank definitely. If you add the goby and mandarin and take the foxface back that would probably be max. If is FO then you might make it happen with a lot of aggressive maintenance.

It all depends on your filtration, you could possibly get one or two more fish in there. But def not all those fish. Also I wouldn't recommend a mandarin unless you have a good sized fuge to provide an area to grow pods.

ya and wait atleast a year with no other fish in the tank that eat copepods then maybe you can get a mandarin depending on how well they are doing. a refugium with chaeto will help alot. you definatley cant have all the fish id get maybe one or two more fish dont get the chromis unless you have godlike filtration

The goby should be fine and the chromis, but you do have a large fish in there so you need to watch out for that. As mentioned, the dragonette, unless you can get one that eats frozen food are hard to keep unless you have a large tank that's been established for a while.

if its FO i would do maybe a butterfly if you take the foxface back or a trigger maybe but reef i maybe would do and angelfish even though its with caution reef safe i would go for it.

dont get your hopes up about dragonets eating prepared food i say be prepared for one to eat nothing but what they eat in the wild and if they do eat prepared food thats just a bonus

Thanks for all the replies, i do have a fuge and am gonna wait a little bit to get the mandarin. The people at the lfs sold me the foxface to help control the bubble algae and i have noticed it eating it, so maybe once it cleans the whole tank of it all take it back. But you dont think i can get all those chromis huh? just the mandarin and goby?
