How Many have you lost??

Well I'm pretty sure almost all of us have experienced this at least one time in our hobby.
This thread should help everyone who has had loss fish not give up and see that they are not the only ones.
Please be honest..

So my question is... How many fish have you lost since the beggining of your hobby? Which ones? Do you know why?

I'll start by answering... I've lost 4 clowns a flame angel and a yellow tang.
They all died of ich.. I was really new to the hobby and some were totally my fault and I still feel bad about it( probably the worst fish keeper in the world)... But here I am.. Not having given up yet. Still questioning my self if I should though.

I've lost a clown, yellow watchman goby, sixline wrasse and a flasher wrasse. The sixline, flasher and goby all jumped and the clown just wasn't healthy when I got him. He died after 2 days I got him. I'm thinking it was clownfish disease.

 

i lost yellow tang and 5 chromis. they died cause the tank cracked and had to put them in a 5 gallon bucket.

i also lost about 8 fuzzy dwarf lionfish. 5 of them died because they didnt eat. 1 died from salinity problems. 1 died from a tank transfer(probably from stress). 1 died from old age

 

Just my B&W clown a week ago.

 

Ive lost a dartfish and 1 reef chromis. I have searched the tank from top to bottom, searched outside the tank just incase they jumped. Only thing i can think of is my brittlestar is picking them off

 

ive lost a blackcapped basslet and carpenters wrasse to carpet surfing. a red scooter blenny for reasons unknown.

 

I lost a diamond goby 1 week after I got him (jumped), a kole tang that never seemed right (bought from a different LFS than I normally go to, we were still very new and thought that cheaper meant better) we believe that it had oodinium (sp?) and that wiped out a yellow tang and a clown fish.

Since then, a flasher wrasse and a purple firefish (both were bothered by the leopard wrasse).

Knock on wood - but we have had no losses since we have become very, very picky about what we add and who we get it from.

 

I lost a clown because he got trapped inside and anemone caught in a powerhead.

I lost a mandarin probably due to slow starvation in the early '90s. Not too many people knew what it took for them to survive then and no internet to research things.

I lost everything in a 70 gal tank because we lost power for 5 days in the dead of winter. Tropical fish don't do well once the tank temperature gets down into the 50's.

 

Almost lost my whole take about 4 months ago to a bacterial issue and I couldnt figure it out... by then it was to late. Found the problem and fixed it.

1x Purple Tang, 1x Hippo Tang, 1x Foxface lo, 1x Blueface Angel, 2x False Clowns 1x Royal Gramma

From Ick when I 1st started and wasnt on here... Lost a Yellow Tang, Flame Angel and Coral Beauty

God now I feel bad seeing this list. lol

 

Yea I've become very picky myself... I hope that all goes good from now on.
