Ok so just dont wanna over pack this thing.

125gal 6ft dual rr oceanic tank.

60gal sump. (probably only holds about 35gal water

swc 160 cone skimmer rated 100-150gal

Feel like tank is so big just looks empty.

So far stock list looks like this:

BIG yellow eye kole tang
small Achillies tang
2 clowns medium size
1 small mandarin
1 lyretail anthias
1 coral beauty
1 eibli angle
1 monster engineer goby
1 male solarensis wrasses full grown
1 female solarensis wrasses full grown
1 green corris wrasse
1 black cap
2x cleaner shrimp
crabs/snails
horeshoe crab

order coming in next week with 5 more lyretail anthias
and 2 fire shrimp

possibly picking up a yellow tang tonight if you all think there is room! lol on sale at lfs for $20 so figured why not


Sooo what would everyone consider this bioload?

I love my swc skimmer btw it pulls gunk like a beast very impressive.

 

Personally I think your original list was good. I would not add the tang seeing you already have 5 more anthias coming in.

 

Yea that's kinda what I was expecting to hear lol

Guess time to upgrade the skimmer to something for like 200gal heavy bioload

Also gonna be removing the dwarf angels at some point so I can put meaty corals back in.

They ate my $100 welsos! grr

well, I'm usually on the fringe in terms of fish stocking but I'd say you could do the yellow tang but I'd be hesitant to add it with the anthias because that's a lot of fish to add at once - I'd be more cautious in how quickly you add vs. having too many fish when it's all said and done.

the way you have your scape set up, there is a lot of water room in your tank. This is my .02

 

I'm not a fan of large (in terms of quantity) fish stocking. Get some coral in there and it will no longer look like a near empty tank.
