    I'm building my first tank:
    200 DD (48x36x27)

Eventually I plan on having tangs and a magnifica, which I know require high flow.
I also plan on having some euphillia which seem to require less flow.
    And some zoa's and palys.
I also plan on having sugar grained sand.

I had been planning on 2 of the MP40s, but someone recommended I get 4.

    Any recommendations?

If your looking for efficiency, I would look into the Koralia EVOs as they are highly efficient and use less wattage, while delivering more GPH.

On the other hand, you would need several of the EVOs in your tank, which may look sloppy. As an alternative, you can go with the Koralia magnum 8s, which use only 19watts as opposed to 28watts, while delivering the same GPH.

I would say 2 would be fine.. One each side, you can get a nice wave going with that(don't forget you will have flow coming from your returns too).. If you want to get fancy then maybe 3.. One on each side and then another on the back wall... IMO of course.

I would say 2 MP40w ES, and if you want to add another PH for more diverse flow or to combat a dead spot or two, one MP10w ES in the back.
