My 210g quick crew from reeflceaners which consists of the following:
    205 Dwarf Ceriths
    60 Nassarius
    75 Florida Ceriths
40 Large & 20 Small to Medium Nerites

I also have about 15 shrimp total.
    6 Scarlet cleaners
    1 coral banded
    5-10 peppermints

1 red reef lobster (i have had him forever.. he can be a pain but it's worth it for the wow factor I get from visitors and if anything dies he eats it with a quickness)

ok so it seems to me that if i set up a deep sand bed correctly and have a good clean up crew then there is less maintenance to the tank. but i thought the refug would do the job in which case a shallow sand bed and vacuuming would work? confused??

Deep sand bed, shallow sand bed and no sand bed all work. There is no right answer. They just each accomplish this through different means.

if you want a dsb: you will need to leave it alone and avoid sand sifting creatures. but, it can be an amazing source of nitrate reduction. You may also need to add biodiversity from time to time.

If you want a ssb: no real benefit besides surface area for nitryfing bacteria and it looks good. No real maintenance is necessary.

If you want no sand bed, you can have amazing flow and will need it, but you can keep the waste in suspension till the filtration removes it. Keeping it from breaking down in the first place. (may have to vaccuum dead doors where detritus settles)

All work but for different reasons and with slightly different maintenance requirements.

Not the sand sifting variety. There are plenty of non sand sifting gobies though.
