Leave it in the tank forever. Add pods weekly to monthly depending on how fast they get consumed.

That could be a problem though (Random mesh bag of rocks just sitting there in the tank) LOL
What is that algae that pods live on?

You may need to rinse it once in a while if it gets nasty.
Pretty much what ever is available.

Yup that is it...forgot the name....
2in10: I am not ignoring your mesh rock idea, but in a tank as small as mine I think it would look pretty bad :-/
Thanks for the help though you are always here to answer all my questions: Would this work?
1st: Add bag of rubble rock w/ mesh for 2 weeks
2nd: Take out mesh bag and leave the rubble rock in
3rd add chaeto every week for 1 month
4th: get mandarin dragonet and continue to add chaeto every month
Would this work? Or not enough?
    Thanks so much

My rocks are against the back of the wall :( I could just put it in the corner though for a couple of weeks...it is worth it for a beautiful fish like the mandarin :)
I am going to go along with my plan. Do I have to be careful with what type of mesh I use? What size holes should there be and are there any plastics that are not reef safe? I will let you know how it goes and I will probably make a thread :) Thanks again!

I am using a mesh bag that kitchen utensils come in from the store. had it is for a couple of months with no issues yet. I am guessing it is nylon.

Ok I guess if it is food safe, it is reef safe (usually) :)
I going to start with the first step tomorrow ;)
