Hello everyone.. I have a 15g high nano-reef and was wondering how many snails you would recommend.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

start with a couple and go from there, It depends on how much algae you have and how fast it grows. I would say start with 5-8 astrea type snails, or maybe one or two mexican turbos.

The best snail in the world IMO is the trochus snail. They are expensive initially but live long and do THE BEST job as a cleaner. I personally have put over 300 snails in my 55, I have had some die off so that many don't stay in there but you do need a good amount. I would look into 20-30 Trochus's plus a variety of others if I were you. Worth it in the long run...

I guess to the LFS I go... Now if I put too many in at once will it mess up my bio load? or do I need to add a few every few days?

It shouldn't bother anything, other than the load on your algae;)!
