How much Base rock? how much live rock

    im only 1 week away from ordering my rock, just dont know how much of it for a perfect reef tank..

    my tank is 150G. with two corner overflows.

    I would go about 190lbs. dry rock, 10lbs. live rock.

    After you have that in the tank add more dry rock to suite the look you want.

    You're going to get a ton of opinions on this, but I'd go with the 10lbs live to alot more base for a few reasons.
    1. It's going to be cheaper
    2. You can mess with the base rock as much as you want before and after you put it into the tank (easier to aquascape with it)
    3. The LR is going to seed it anyway so why not let it seed on it's own

    I have around 140ibs in my 150. I went with two large islands and I think it looks great. Rock walls are so last year ;)
